Composer David Holmes (Killing Eve, Analyze That, Hunger, Marlowe, Diane) is reuniting with director Steven Soderbergh (Traffic, Erin Brockovich) on the upcoming spy drama Black Bag. The film starring Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender, Regé-Jean Page, Naomie Harris, Tom Burke, Marisa Abela & Pierce Brosnan centers on a legendary intelligence agent who faces the ultimate test – loyalty to his marriage or his country – when his beloved wife is suspected of betraying the nation. David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Spider-Man) wrote the screenplay. Casey Silver (Leatherheads, Hidalgo) and Greg Jacobs (Edge of Tomorrow, Magic Mike) are producing the project. Holmes has previously collaborated with Soderbergh on the features Out of Sight, the Ocean’s trilogy, Haywire, Logan Lucky, The Laundromat, No Sudden Move and the TV series Mosaic. Black Bag will be released in theaters nationwide on March 14, 2025 by Focus Features.
Holmes’ other recent feature projects include Michael Winterbottom’s Shoshana, which premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and will be released in select U.S. theaters in the coming months by Greenwich Entertainment.
