The full details of the soundtrack album for Skydance Animation’s Netflix original film Spellbound have been revealed. The album features the movie’s original songs written by Academy Award winner Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Enchanted, Aladdin), with lyrics by Glenn Slater (Tangled, Galavant, Home on the Range) and performed by voice cast members Rachel Zegler, John Lithgow, Jenifer Lewis, Nathan Lane, Tituss Burgess, Javier Bardem & Nicole Kidman. Also included are selections of Menken’s original score. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 22 by Republic Records. A first track (The Way It Was Before performed by Lauren Spencer Smith) has already been released as a digital single last Friday. Spellbound is . Spellbound is directed by Vicky Jenson and tells the story of a teenage princess whose parents are turned into giant monsters and must journey into the wild to reverse the curse before it’s too late. The animated fantasy adventure will premiere next Friday, November 22 on Netflix and is also being released in select theaters on the same day.
