Because Music has released a soundtrack album for the Algerian supernatural drama Silent Storms (Les tempêtes). The album features the film’s original music composed by Dan Levy (I Lost My Body, Meanwhile on Earth, Breaking Point, For My Country, Star Wars Visions: Sith, Vesper, Empire of the Wolves). Silent Storms is co-written and directed by Dania Reymond-Boughenou and stars Khaled Benaissa, Camélia Jordana, Shirine Boutella and Mehdi Ramdani. The movie follows a journalist as he investigates the emergence of bizarre yellow sandstorms in and around Algiers and – faced with increasingly threatening storms – must confront a past that haunts him. The drama is opening in French theaters today. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
