Sony Classical will release a new soundtrack album for the Starz original series Outlander. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s seventh season composed by Emmy Award winner Bear McCreary (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica). Also included is the new version of the opening titles theme The Skye Boat Song performed by Sinéad O’Connor, an alternate “fife and drum version” performed by Raya Yarbrough & Griogair Labhruidh, as well as lead actress Caitríona Balfe’s rendition of Ave Maria. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 22. A CD version will be coming out on December 13 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released a digital EP featuring three tracks from the new season last year, as well as the Season 6 album back in 2022, while Madison Gate Records has released the soundtracks for the first five seasons. Outlander is developed by Ronald D. Moore and also stars Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin, John Bell, David Berry, Izzy Meikle-Small, Charles Vandervaart and Joey Phillips. The first part of Season 7 premiered last year and the second part will debut on November 22 on Starz.
