Walt Disney Records has released a digital single featuring two original holiday songs from the Disney+ animated special An Almost Christmas Story. The soundtrack features the tracks It’s Christmas Today and The Spirit of Christmas written by the film’s composer Daniel Hart (Pete’s Dragon, The Green Knight, Interview with the Vampire, A Ghost Story) and performed by John C. Reilly (who stars as “The Folk Singer”) and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to both songs after the jump. An Almost Christmas Story is directed by David Lowery, written by Jack Thorne, produced by Alfonso Cuarón and also stars Cary Christopher, Estella Madrigal, Jim Gaffigan, Mamoudou Athie, Alex Ross Perry, Phil Rosenthal, Gianna Joseph and Natasha Lyonne. The Disney Branded Television and Esperanto Film production tells the story of curious young owl who unexpectedly finds himself stuck in a Christmas tree destined for Rockefeller Plaza and teams up with a lost girl to embark on an adventure to find their way back home. The short is premiering today exclusively on Disney+.
