Rupert Gregson-Williams (Aquaman, Wonder Woman, The Legend of Tarzan, Hacksaw Ridge, Smallfoot, The Perfect Couple, Over the Hedge, Hotel Rwanda) has composed the original score for the upcoming holiday comedy Dear Santa. The film is directed by Bobby Farrelly (There’s Something About Mary, Dumb and Dumber) and stars Jack Black, Robert Timothy Smith, Keegan-Michael Key, Hayes MacArthur, Brianne Howey, Post Malone, Jaden Carson Baker, P.J. Byrne and Kai Cech. The movie follows a young boy who mails his Christmas wish list to Santa with one crucial spelling error, which leads to a devilish version of Santa to arrive to wreak havoc on the holidays. Ricky Blitt (The Ringer, Hit by Lightning) and Peter Farrelly (Green Book, Ricky Stanicky) wrote the screenplay based on a story by themselves and Dan Ewen (Playing with Fire). The Farrelly Brothers are also producing the project with Jeremy Kramer (30 Minutes or Less, Duplex). Dear Santa will premiere on November 25, 2024 on Digital and Paramount+.
Gregson-Williams also continues to co-score HBO’s The Gilded Age, which will return for a third season.
