Jonathan Sadoff (The Peanut Butter Falcon, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, Ingrid Goes West, Angelyne, Chimp Crazy, IncomingUnder the Boardwalk) has recently scored the upcoming romantic comedy Sweethearts. The film marks the feature directorial debut of writer/producer Jordan Weiss and stars Kiernan Shipka, Nico Hiraga, Caleb Hearon, Ava Demary, Tramell Tillman, Charlie Hall, Joel Kim Booster and Christine Taylor. The movie revolves around two college freshmen who make a pact to break up with their high school sweethearts over Thanksgiving break, leading them on a chaotic night out in their hometown that puts their codependent friendship to the test. Weiss also co-wrote the screenplay with Dan Brier. Erik Feig (Step Up, I Know What You Did Last Summer) and Jessica Switch (Cha Cha Real Smooth, Sharper) are producing the New Line Cinema and Picturestart production. Sadoff has previously collaborated with Weiss on the TV series Dollface. Sweethearts will premiere on November 28, 2024 exclusively on Max.
