Joneswood Records has released a soundtrack album for the Swiss period drama Frieda’s Case (Friedas Fall). The album features the film’s original music composed by Mark Baechle. Frieda’s Case is co-written and directed by Maria Brendle and stars Julia Buchmann, Stefan Merki, Rachel Braunschweig, Max Simonischek, Liliane Amuat and Marlene Tanczik. The movie is based on a true story and set in 1904 and centers on 25-year-old Frieda Keller who was accused of killing her five-year-old son, leading to a court case that questions how much of a victim lies within the perpetrator herself. The drama is premiering today at the 2024 Zurich Film Festival and is set to be released in Swiss theaters in January.
