La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1964 James Bond movie Goldfinger directed by Guy Hamilton and starring Sean Connery, Honor Blackman, Gert Fröbe, Shirley Eaton, Harold Sakata and Tania Mallet . The 60th Anniversary Edition album features the remastered and re-sequenced (into film order) original score from the movie composed and conducted by by Academy Award winner John Barry (Dances with Wolves, Out of Africa, Somewhere in Time, The Man with the Golden Gun, Octopussy, Body Heat). Also included is the title song written by the composer, featuring lyrics by Leslie Bricusse & Anthony Newley and performed by Shirley Bassey, including an alternate mono mix of the track. The CD, which is limited to 5,000 copies, is now available to order exclusively in 007 Store and the label’s official website, where you can also learn more about the release and listen to audio samples. Goldfinger now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
