Waxwork Records has released the first track from the score for the body horror movie The Substance. Available to stream/download now on most major digital music services is the title track written by the film’s composer Raffertie (The Continental: From the World of John Wick, White Dragon, Zone 414, Bull, One Way). Also listen to the cue after the jump. The Substance is written and directed by Coralie Fargeat and stars Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley, Dennis Quaid, Joseph Balderrama and Hugo Diego Garcia. The movie follows a fading celebrity who decides to use a black market drug, a cell-replicating substance that temporarily creates a younger, better version of herself. The satirical horror thriller premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and will be released in U.S. theaters this Friday, September 20 by MUBI.
