Varèse Sarabande and Craft Recordings have announced a 25th anniversary edition the score album for the 1999 sci-fi classic The Matrix written and directed by the Wachowski siblings and starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving and Joe Pantoliano. The album features an expanded “18-song” track list curated by the film’s composer Don Davis (Jurassic Park 3The Matrix ReloadedThe Matrix Revolutions, Bound, Behind Enemy Lines) himself from key tracks previously only available on the complete edition of the score, as well as brand-new artwork by illustrator Yuko Shimizu. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically (on LP & CD) on November 15. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version.
