Accidental Editions has released a soundtrack album for the British supernatural folk horror drama Starve Acre. The album features the film’s original score composed by Matthew Herbert (The Wonder, DisobedienceA Fantastic Woman, The Beast Must Die, Gloria Bell, The Responder, The CaveTemple). Also included is the original song Let Me In in two different version performed by lead actor Matt Smith and Crewdson & Cevanne. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s main theme and Smith’s version of the song after the jump. Starve Acre is written and directed by Daniel Kokotajlo and stars Smith, Morfydd Clark and Erin Richards. The movie based on Andrew Michael Hurley’s novel of the same name is set in rural 1970s England and follows a couple whose son starts acting strangely, when they unwittingly allow dark and sinister forces into their home, awakening an ancient evil.The drama, which premiered at last year’s BFI London Film Festival, was released in select U.S. theaters and on VOD this past July by Brainstorm Media and is opening in UK theaters this weekend.
