Tamar-kali (Mudbound, The Assistant, Shirley, Palmer, The Lie, Come Sunday) has recently scored the upcoming documentary Blink. The film is directed by Edmund Stenson and Daniel Roher (Navalny, Once Were Brothers) and centers on the Pelletier family whose world changes forever when three of their four children are diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, a rare and incurable disease that leads to severe visual impairment. The movie follows Edith Lemay, Sébastien Pelletier and their children as they set out on a trip around the world to experience all its beauty while they still can. Melanie Miller (Stutz, Inventing Tomorrow) and Diane Becker (Tina, Belushi) are producing the MRC and Fishbowl Films production. Blink is premiering this weekend at the Telluride Film Festival and will be released in select theaters on October 4, 2024 before premiering on National Geographic later this year.
Tamar-kali’s other upcoming projects include Rachel Morrison’s directorial debut The Fire Inside (originally entitled Flint Strong), which will be released in theaters nationwide on December 25 by Amazon MGM Studios.
