Mark Orton (Nebraska, The Holdovers, The Good Girl, My Old Lady, Love Hard, 12 Mighty Orphans) has composed the original score for the upcoming drama On Swift Horses. The film is directed by Daniel Minahan (Halston, Marco Polo) and stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Jacob Elordi, Will Poulter, Diego Calva and Sasha Calle. The movie based Shannon Pufahl’s 2019 novel of the same title is set in the 1950s and follows a seemingly sensible newlywed and her wayward brother-in-law as they undertake parallel journeys of risk, romance, and self-discovery.
. Byrce Kass (Lizzie) wrote the screenplay. Minahan is also producing the production with Peter Spears (Call Me By Your Name, Bones and All), Tim Headington (Hugo, The Tourist), Mollye Asher (Nomadland, The Rider), Theresa Steele Page (The Green Knight, Between the Temples) and Michael D’Alto (Call Jane). On Swift Horses will premiere next month at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.
