Composer David Sardy (Zombieland, 21, End of Watch, Premium Rush, Bright, The Beekeeper, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, Monster Trucks) is reteaming with director John Swab on the upcoming action thriller Long Gone Heroes. The film is written and directed by Swab (Body Brokers, Run with the Hunted) and stars Frank Grillo, Josh Hutcherson, Eden Brolin, Melissa Leo, Mekhi Phifer and Andy García. The movie follows a special forces soldier who is forced back into the field of battle to save his niece, who is being held in South America, and discovers that her disappearance is part of a corrupt private operation that hits way too close to home.Cristina Villar Rosa, Scott Putnam, Charlie Toro and Carlos Velazquez (The Book of Love, Don Peyote) are producing the project. Sardy has previously scored Swab’s last four features, Ida Red, Candy Land, Little Dixie and One Day as a Lion. Long Gone Heroes will be released in select theaters, on Digital and VOD on September 20, 2024 by Lionsgate.
Sardy is also expected to return to score the second season of AMC’s The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, entitled The Book of Carol, which will premiere on September 29.
