Marc Shaiman (Hairspray, Mary Poppins Returns, Sister Act, Sleepless in Seattle, Misery, An American President, City Slickers, Patch Adams) will release a soundtrack album for the HBO original documentary Albert Brooks: Defending My Life. The album features the Academy Award-nominated and Grammy, Emmy & Tony Award-winning composer’s original score from the film and will be released digitally tomorrow, August 15 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Shaiman has recently received an Emmy Award nomination for his music for the movie. Check out the composer’s main theme below. Albert Brooks: Defending My Life is directed by Rob Reiner and explores the origins and evolution of Brooks’ career, from stand-up to his seven iconic original motion pictures,. The documentary premiered last November on HBO and is now available to stream on Max.
