Carter Burwell (Carol, True Grit, Fargo, The Banshees of Inisherin,Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Twilight) has been hired to score the upcoming comedy Good Fortune. The film marks the feature directorial debut of actor/comedian Aziz Ansari (Master of None) and stars Ansari himself, Seth Rogen, Keanu Reeves, Keke Palmer and Sandra Oh. The movie follows a down-on-his luck guy who is struggling financially, when an angel appears and swaps his life with that of his wealthy rich friend who lives in the Hollywood Hills. Azari also wrote the screenplay and is producing the project with Anthony Katagas (12 Years a Slave, Ad Astra) and Alan Yang (Tigertale, Little America). Good Fortune is expected to be released in theaters in late 2024 or early 2025 by Lionsgate.
Burwell also continues to score Apple TV+’s The Morning Show, which will return for a fourth season.
