MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the animated feature Kensuke’s Kingdom. The album features the film’s original music composed by Stuart Hancock (Atlantis, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, Crazyhead, One Night in Turin, Bodyguard: A New Beginning). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s end titles suite after the jump. Kensuke’s Kingdom is directed by Neil Boyle & Kirk Hendry and features the voice talent of Sally Hawkins, Cillian Murphy, Aaron MacGregor, Raffey Cassidy and Ken Watanabe. The Lupus Films production is based on Michael Morpurgo’s novel of the same title and tells the story of a boy who is thrown overboard during a storm while traveling with his family and gets stranded on an island, where he must adapt to life alone. The movie, which premiered premiered at last year’s Annecy International Film Festival, opened in French theaters this past February and will be released in UK & Irish theaters on August 2. No domestic distribution deal has been announced yet.
