Composer Jerskin Fendrix is set to reteam with Yorgos Lanthimos (The Favourite, The Lobster) on the director’s next feature, Bugonia. The film starring Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons is based on the 2003 South Korean sci-fi comedy Save the Green Planet! and follows two conspiracy obsessed young men who kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth. Will Tracy (The Menu, The Regime) wrote the screenplay. Lanthimos is also producing the project with Element Pictures’ Ed Guiney & Andrew Lowe (Room, Normal People), Square Peg’s Ari Aster (Hereditary, Midsommar) and Lars Knudsen (The Northman, The Witch), Stone for Fruit Tree, as well as CJ ENM’s Miky Lee and Jerry Kyoungboum Ko. Fendrix has previously scored Lanthimos’ last two features, Poor Things, for which he received an Academy Award nomination, and Kinds of Kindness, which is currently playing in theaters. Bugonia is scheduled to be released in U.S. theaters on November 7, 2025 by Focus Features.
