Composer Nami Melumad (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Thor: Love and Thunder, Star Trek: Prodigy, The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window, An American Pickle, Absentia) is reuniting with actor/writer/director Kelly Blatz on the upcoming action adventure One Fast Move. The film is written and directed by Blatz and stars K.J. Apa, Eric Dane, Maia Reficco, Austin North and Edward James Olmos. The movie revolves around a young man down on his luck who seeks out his estranged father to help him pursue his dream of becoming a professional motorcycle racer. Mike Karz (Valentine’s Day, Blended), William Bindley, Matt Luber (Bobby Z, Backtrace) and Lena Roklin (Upgraded, The Other Zoey) are producing the project. Melumad has previously scored Blatz’s feature directorial debut, Senior Love Triangle. One Fast Move will premiere on August 8, 2024 exclusively on Prime Video.
Melumad’s recent feature projects also include Nicholas Colias’ Griffin in Summer, which premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and is currently awaiting a release date. She also continues to score Paramount+’s Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which will return for a third and fourth season.
