Andrew Lockington (San Andreas, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Rampage, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, Atlas, Frontier) has been tapped to score the upcoming Paramount+ original series Landman. The show is created by Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, Hell or High Water) and stars Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Kayla Wallace, Jacob Lofland, James Jordan, Paulina Chávez, Mark Collie and Demi Moore, as well as Jon Hamm will star in a recurring guest role with Andy Garcia & Michael Peña appearing as guest stars. The drama based on the podcast Boomtown from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly is set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas and tells modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs. Sheridan is also executive producing the MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios & Bosque Ranch production with David C. Glasser (Marco Polo, Waco), David Hutkin (Tulsa King, 1923), Ron Burkle (1883, George & Tammy), Bob Yari (Crash, The Illusionist), Christian Wallace, Geyer Kosinski (Bad News Bears, School for Scoundrels), Michael Friedman (The GOAT) and Stephen Kay (Boogeyman, Covert Affairs), as well as Imperative Entertainment’s Dan Friedkin (Killers of the Flower Moon, The Mule) and Jason Hoch and Texas Monthly’s J.K. Nickell and Megan Creydt (Love & Death). Lockington has previously collaborated with Sheridan on the TV shows Mayor of Kingstown and Special Ops: Lioness. Landman will premiere on November 17, 2024 exclusively on Paramount+.
