Finneas O’Connell is making his television scoring debut on the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series Disclaimer. The show is written and directed by Alfonso Cuarón (Gravity, Children of Men) and stars Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline, Sacha Baron Cohen, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lesley Manville, Leila George, Louis Partridge and Hoyeon. The 7-part psychological thriller is based on Renée Knight’s bestselling novel of the same title and revolves around an acclaimed journalist who receives a novel from an unknown author and is horrified to realize she is now the main character in a story that exposes her darkest secrets. Cuarón is also executive producing the project with Esperanto Filmoj’s Gabriela Rodriguez (Roma, The Shepherd) and Anonymous Content’s David Levine (The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey, Saint X), as well as Donald Sabourin and Carlos Morales and directors of photography Emmanuel Lubezki and Bruno Delbonnel. O’Connell has previously scored B.J. Novak’s feature directorial debut Vengeance and Megan Park’s 2022 drama The Fallout. He also co-wrote the Academy Award-winning title song from No Time to Die and What Was I Made For? from last year’s Barbie. Disclaimer will premiere on October 11, 2024 on Apple TV+.
