Varese Sarabande has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1999 sports drama For the Love of the Game directed by Sam Raimi and starring Kevin Costner, Kelly Preston, Jena Malone, John C. Reilly and Brian Cox. The album features the features the expanded original score from the film composed and conducted by Basil Poledouris (Conan the Barbarian, RoboCop, Starship Troopers, The Blue Lagoon, The Hunt for Red October, Lonesome Dove), including around 45 minutes of previously unreleased music. The Deluxe Edition soundtrack is now available to order as a limited edition CD on the label’s official website and will also be coming out digitally next Friday, June 28 (click here to stream/download). The label has previously released the original score album, while MCA Records has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie when the drama opened in theaters in 1999. For the Love of the Game is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
