Federico Jusid (The Secret In Their Eyes, A Gentleman in Moscow, The English, Watership Down, Misconduct, The Head, Life Itself) has composed the original score for the new Apple TV+ original series Land of Women. The show is created by Ramón Campos & Gema R. Neira (Grand Hotel, Cable Girls) and Paula Fernández inspired by Sandra Barneda’s bestselling novel La tierra de las mujeres and stars Eva Longoria, Carmen Maura, Victoria Bazúa and Santiago Cabrera. The 6-part dramedy directed by Carlos Sedes revolves around a well-to-do New Yorker who has her life turned upside down when her husband fails to repay a debt to the wrong people and is forced to leave the city with her mother and teenage daughter and travel to her mother’s hometown in northern Spain to start life anew and hope their identities remain hidden. Campos, Neira, Sedes & Longoria are also executive producing the production with Teresa Fernández-Valdés (Nacho, 13 Exorcisms), Ben Spector (Telenovela, Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico) and Sandra Condito (Complices, Blacktino). Jusid has previously collaborated with Campos & Neira on such shows as High Seas, Jaguar, Now and Then and this year’s The Asunta Case. Land of Women will premiere next Wednesday, June 26 exclusively on Apple TV+.
