Chris Benstead (The Gentlemen, Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, Wrath of Man) has been tapped to score the upcoming drama The Gun on Second Street. The film is directed by Rohit Karn Batra (Line of Descent) and stars Poppy Delevingne, Tom Arnold, Noah Fearnley and Shô Oyamada. The movie follows two Pittsburgh police partners and best friends who are called to a domestic violence dispute on the titular street that quickly escalates to a violent confrontation as one of them accidentally shoots and kills the other. Years later, he moves back to Pittsburgh after having left the police force and finds his way to his partner’s widow.Batra is also producing the project with Guy J. Louthan (The Wilds, The Road Within, The Lovers) of Ransom Films. The Gun on Second Street is currently in post-production. No word yet on a premiere or release date.
Benstead’s other recent projects include Guy Ritchie’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, which opened in theaters last month and is now also available on PVOD and will be released on Blu-ray, 4UK Ultra HD and DVD on June 25.
