Alexis Grapsas (Monday, Trigonometry, Big Shot, Teacher) has recently been scoring the upcoming horror prequel A Quiet Place: Day One. The film is directed by Michael Sarnoski and stars Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff and Djimon Hounsou. The movie explores the beginning of the invasion, in which deadly alien creatures with hyper-sonic hearing arrive on Earth. Sarnoski also wrote the screenplay based on a story by himself and John Krasinski (who helmed the first two A Quiet Place installments scored by Marco Beltrami). Krasinski is also producing the project with Platinum Dunes’ Michael Bay (Armageddon, Transformers), Andrew Form and Brad Fuller (The Purge, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). Grapsas has previously co-scored Sarnoski’s last feature, Pig. A Quiet Place: Day One will be released in theaters nationwide on June 28, 2024 by Paramount Pictures.
