Frederik Wiedmann (The Dragon Prince, Star Trek: Picard, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Occupation: Rainfall, Doom: Annihilation, Big Nate) has recently been scoring the upcoming Prime Video animated series Batman: Caped Crusader. The show, which is is being described as a reimagining of the Batman mythology, is set in Gotham City, where the corrupt outnumber the good, criminals run rampant and law-abiding citizens live in a constant state of fear and follows the title character whose one-man crusade for justice attracts unexpected allies within the GCPD and City Hall, but his heroic actions spawn deadly, unforeseen ramifications. J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Trek), Matt Reeves (The Batman, Cloverfield) and Bruce Timm (Batman: The Dark Knight Returns & The Killing Joke) are executive producing the Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot and 6th & Idaho production with Ed Brubaker, James Tucker, Daniel Pipski, Rachel Rusch Rich and Sam Register. Batman: Caped Crusader will premiere on August 1,2024 on Prime Video.
Wiedmann also continues to score Netflix’s The Dragon Prince, which will return for its sixth season this year.
