Nami Melumad (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds & Prodigy, Thor: Love and Thunder, An American Pickle, The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window, Absentia) has recently been scoring the upcoming coming-of-age comedy Griffin in Summer. The film is written and directed by Nicholas Colia and stars Everett Blunck, Melanie Lynskey, Abby Ryder Fortson, Owen Teague and Kathryn Newton. The movie follows a 14-year-old wannabe playwright who becomes enamored with a local handyman over the course of summer vacation. Juliet Berman (Set It Up), Bobby Hoppey, actress Camila Mendes & Rachel Matthews (Upgraded), Matthew Miller (Werewolves Within, It Ain’t Over) are producing the project. Griffin in Summer will premiere in June at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival.
Melumad also continues to score Paramount+’s Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which has recently been renewed for a fourth season ahead of its Season 3 debut next year.
