Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the satirical comedy The American Society of Magical Negroes. The album features the film’s original music is composed by Michael Abels (Get Out, Us, Nope, The Burial, Bad Education, Landscape with Invisible Hand, See You Yesterday). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 15 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. The American Society of Magical Negroes is written and directed by Kobi Libii and stars Justice Smith, David Alan Grier, An-Li Bogan, Michaela Watkins, Drew Tarver, Nicole Byer and Rupert Friend. The movie follows a young man who is recruited into a secret society who dedicate their lives to a cause of utmost importance: making white people’s lives easier. The comedy premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is being released in theaters nationwide this weekend by Focus Features.
