SOLFO has released a soundtrack album for the Austrian/German psychological thriller The Devil’s Bath (Des Teufels Bad). The album features the film’s original music composed by Soap&Skin (aka Anja Plaschg) who also stars in the movie’s lead role. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and most other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list. The Devil’s Bath is written and directed by Veronika Franz & Severin Fiala (Goodnight Mommy, The Lodge) and also stars David Scheid and Maria Hofstätter. The movie is set in rural Austria in 1750 and revolves around a a young married woman who feels oppressed in her husband’s world and falls into a deep depression, before committing a shocking act of violence. The thriller premiered at this year’s Berlin Film Festival and just opened in Austrian theaters this past weekend.
