Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, The Outsider, Enemy, The White Tiger, The Staircase, Tulsa King) have composed the original music for the upcoming horror comedy I Don’t Understand You. The film is written and directed by Brian Crano (Permission) & actor David Craig and stars Nick Kroll, Andrew Rannells, Morgan Spector, Nunzia Schiano and Eleonora Romandini. The movie follows an American couple, on the verge of adopting a baby, who goes on an Italian vacation, when things begin to spiral out of control. Kara Durrett (Save Yourselves!, The Starling Girl), Jessamine Burgum (Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul, If You Were the Last), Jon Glickman (Rush Hour, Creed III), Joel Edgerton and Nash Edgerton (Mr Inbetween, Gringo) are producing the project. Bensi & Jurriaans have previously scored Joel Edgerton’s first two feature directorial efforts, The Gift and Boy Erased. I Don’t Understand You will premiere this coming weekend at the 2024 SXSW Film Festival.
The composers’ other recent projects include the second season of Max’s Tokyo Vice, which just premiered last month.
