La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1986 action classic Top Gun directed by Tony Scott and starring Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis, Val Kilmer, Anthony Edwards, Tom Skerritt. The 2-CD set features the world premiere release of the film’s original score composed by Harold Faltermeyer (Beverly Hills Cop, Fletch, The Running Man, Thief of Hearts, Cop Out, Tango & Cash) on the first disc, and the songs from the movie, including Kenny Loggins’ Danger Zone and Berlin’s Academy Award-winning Take My Breath Away, on the second disc. The soundtrack, which is limited to 5,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples. Columbia Records has previously released the original 1986 soundtrack album and an expanded version in 1999 featuring the songs and two tracks from Faltermeyer’s score. Top Gun is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD
