Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the sci-fi epic Dune: Part Two directed by Denis Villeneuve and starring Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Josh Brolin, Christopher Walken, Dave Bautista, Léa Seydoux and Javier Bardem. The film’s original music composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Inception, The Lion King, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, Interstellar, The Last Samurai). Opening in Los Angeles and New York today before expanding to more markets in the coming weeks is the comedy Problemista written and directed by Julio Torres and starring Torres himself, Tilda Swinton, Greta Lee, RZA, James Scully, Isabella Rossellini and Catalina Saavedra. Robert Ouyang Rusli (aka OHYUNG) (Test Pattern, Bruiser) has composed the film’s original music. A24 Music will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score on March 15. Also opening in select theaters is the western Outlaw Posse written and directed by Mario Van Peebles and starring Van Peebles himself, William Mapother, John Carroll Lynch, Mandela Van Peebles, D.C Young Fly, Amber Reign Smith, Jake Manley, Neil McDonough, Allen Payne, Cam Gigandet, Edward James Olmos, M. Emmet Walsh, Cedric the Entertainer and Whoopi Goldberg. The film’s original music is composed by Dontae Winslow (Back on the Strip). No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which follows a man who returns from years of hiding in Mexico to claim stolen gold hidden in the hills of Montana, is being released by Quiver Distribution.
