Batu Sener (The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, Ice Age: Scrat Tales, Atatürk) is scoring the upcoming biographical movie musical Better Man. The film is directed by Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman) and stars British singer/songwriter Robbie Williams as himself, Jonno Davies as his younger self, as well as Steve Pemberton, Alison Steadman, Anthony Hayes, Damon Herriman and Kate Mulvany. The movie chronicles the former Take That member’s ascent, exploring the experiences that made him who he is, and the demons he battled both on and off the stage as he became a huge star. Gracey also co-wrote the screenplay with Oliver Cole and Simon Gleeson. He is also producing the project with Paul Currie (Hacksaw Ridge, Bleeding Steel), Coco Xiaolu Ma (Blacklight), Jules Daly (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, The Grey) and Craig McMahon (Awoken, Black Site). Better Man has recently been picked up by Paramount Pictures for a theatrical release in select U.S. theaters on December 25, 2024 before expanding nationwide on January 17, 2025
Sener’s other recent projects include Carlos Saldanha’s Harold and the Purple Crayon, which is set to be released in theaters nationwide on August 2, 2024 by Sony Pictures.
