Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, A River Runs Through It, , Miracle, 42, The Accountant, Judas and the Black Messiah) has composed the original music for the new Apple TV+ original documentary series Messi’s World Cup: The Rise of a Legend. The show highlights the story of the planet’s top living athlete, his loyal supporters across Argentina and those who made the pilgrimage across the globe to witness his epic World Cup win. The 4-parter features interviews with Lionel Messi himself, alongside conversations with teammates, competitors, coaches, devout fans and commentators. Tim Pastore (Mars, Hostile Planet), Patrick Milling Smith, Brian Carmody, Matt Renner (Welcome to Earth, One Strange Rock) are executive producing the SMUGGLER Entertainment production with Jenna Millman (The First Wave, The Dynasty: New England Patriots) and Juan Camilo Cruz (The Boy from Medellin, In Her Hands). Messi’s World Cup: The Rise of a Legend will premiere this coming Wednesday, February 21 on Apple TV+
Isham is also expected to return to score MGM+’s Godfather of Harlem, which has been renewed for a fourth season and co-score Fox’s The Cleaning Lady, which will return for its third season on March 5.
