Cristobal Tapia de Veer (The White Lotus, Smile, Utopia, The Girl with All the Gifts, Hunters, The Third Day, National Treasure) has signed on to score the upcoming erotic thriller Babygirl. The film is written and directed by Halina Reijn (Bodies Bodies Bodies, Instinct) and stars Nicole Kidman, Harris Dickinson, Antonio Banderas, Sophie Wilde and Jean Reno. The movie revolves around a successful CEO who begins an illicit affair with a much younger, charismatic intern. Reijn is also producing the A24 production for MAN UP Film, alongside 2AM’s David Hinojosa (Past Lives, First Reformed, Zola). Babygirl is currently in post-production. No release date has been announced yet.
As previously reported, the composer has also recently scored Esteban Arango’s Ponyboi, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
