Octopus Records has released a soundtrack album for the Italian coming-of-age drama Finally Dawn (Finalmente l’alba). The album features the film’s original music composed by Massimo Martellotta (Blanca, La cura). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to a track (Tema Dei Titoli) from the composer’s score after the jump. Finally Dawn is written and directed by Saverio Costanzo and stars Lily James, Rebecca Antonaci, Joe Keery, Alba Rohrwacher, Rachel Sennott and Willem Dafoe. The movie is set in 1950s and revolves around a teenage ingenue who is unwittingly cast as a lead extra in a swords and sandals film and finds herself being swept up by group of hedonistic actors and expats who take her on a chaotic tour of Rome’s night-life. The drama premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival and is being released in Italian theaters this Wednesday, February 14. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
