Love Theme Music will release a soundtrack album for the French sci-fi romance The Beast (La Bête). The album features the film’s original score composed by director Bertrand Bonello (Saint Laurent, Nocturama, Zombi Child, On War). Also included are songs by The Pointer Sisters, Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison & others. The soundtrack will be released overseas digitally next Wednesday, February 7 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list. A first track from Bonello’s score (A Car in Los Angeles) is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out below. The Beast is co-written and directed by Bonello and stars Léa Seydoux, George MacKay, Guslagie Maland, Martin Scali, Dasha Nekrasova and Élina Löwensohn. The movie based on Henry James’ novella The Beast In The Jungle is set in the near future, where AI reigns supreme and human emotions have become a threat and follows a woman who must purify her DNA by going back into her past lives. The drama premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival and will open in French theaters on February 7. Sidehow & Janus Films have picked up domestic distribution rights for a release in the U.S. on April 5.
