Nick Chuba (Dr. Death, The Girl from Plainville, Appendage, Operation Varsity Blues) has composed the original music for the upcoming comedy Thelma. The film is written and directed by Josh Margolin (Deep Murder) and stars June Squibb, Fred Hechinger, Richard Roundtree, Clark Gregg, Parker Posey and Malcolm McDowell. The movie follows a 93-year-old who – after getting duped by a phone scammer pretending to be her grandson – sets out on a treacherous quest across the city to reclaim what was taken from her. Zoë Worth & Chris Kaye are producing the project with Nicholas Weinstock (Severance, Escape at Dannemora), Benjamin Simpson, as well as Karl Spoerri & Viviana Vezzani (Dreamin’ Wild, Greatest Days). Thelma will premiere this Thursday at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.
