Alex Geringas (Arlo the Alligator Boy, Batwheels, TrollsTopia, Woody Woodpecker, Blue’s Big City Adventures) has composed the original score for the upcoming comedy Drugstore June. The film is directed by Nicholaus Goossen (Grandma’s Boy) and stars Esther Povitsky, Beverly D’Angelo, James Remar, Bobby Lee, Haley Joel Osment, Brandon Wardell, Miranda Cosgrove, Matt Walsh, Danny Griffin, Patricia Williams and Al Madrigal. The movie follows a young woman who still lives at home with her parents as she tries to investigate the robbery of the pharmacy in her small town, while at the same time trying to get over her ex-boyfriend and become more of an adult. Goosen & Povitsky also co-wrote the screenplay. The director is also producing the All Things Comedy production with Robert Schwartzman (Dreamland, The Unicorn) and Jordan Ellner. Bill Burr serves as an executive producer. Drugstore June will be released in select theaters on February 23, 2024 by Shout! Studios.
Geringas has also recently scored the comedy Not an Artist directed by Jeremy Teicher & Alexi Pappas and starring Ciara Bravo, Cleopatra Coleman, Pappas herself, Matt Walsh, Haley Joel Osment & RZA. The movie premiered at last year’s Austin Film Festival and is currently awaiting a release date.
