Jeff Cardoni (Silicon Valley, The Kominsky Method, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, CSI :Miami, White House Plumbers, Just Friends) is scoring the new NBC comedy Extended Family. The show is created by Mike O’Malley (Survivor’s Remorse) and stars Jon Cryer, Donald Faison, Abigail Spencer, Finn Sweeney and Sofia Capanna. The series follows a couple who – after an amicable divorce – decide to continue to raise their kids at the family home while taking turns on who gets to stay with them. O’Malley serves as the project’s showrunner and is also executive producing the Lionsgate and Universal Television production with Cryer, Tom Werner (That ’70s Show, Roseanne), Wyc Grousbeck, Emilia Fazzalari, George Geyer, Victor Levin (5 to 7, Destination Wedding), Victoria Morrow and James Widdoes (8 Simple Rules). Cardoni has previously collaborated with O’Malley on Starz’s Heels. Extended Family will premiere next Saturday, December 23 before to its regular Tuesday time slot on January 2, 2024.
Cardoni also continues to score CBS’ Ghosts, which has been renewed for third season and Young Sheldon, which will return for its seventh and final season on February 15, 2024.
