Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust, The Young Victoria, Layer Cake, Still Alice, Kick-Ass, A Perfect Planet) is scoring the upcoming documentary Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story. The film is directed by Ian Bonhôte (McQueen, Alleycats) & Peter Ettedgui (Rising Phoenix) and explores the life of Reeve who went from unknown actor to iconic movie star as the ultimate screen superhero and learned the true meaning of heroism as an activist after suffering a tragic accident that left him quadriplegic. Bonhôte is also producing the project with Lizzie Gillett (The Territory, The Age of Stupid) and Robert Ford. Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story will premiere next month at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.
Eshkeri is also expected to return to score the second season of BBC’s SAS Rogue Heroes.
