Decca Records will release a new soundtrack album for the drama The Braid (La tresse). The album features the film’s original music composed by Ludovico Einaudi (The Intouchables, The Father, Samba, This Is England). The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 26, 2024 and is now available for pre-order on Apple Music/iTunes, where you can also check out the track list. A first track (Son combat) is already available to stream/download now and can also be checked out after the jump. The Braid is written and directed by Laetitia Colombani based on her own best-selling novel and stars Kim Raver, Fotinì Peluso, Mia Maelzer, Sajda Pathan, Katharine King, Sarah Abbott, Avi Nash, Mimmo Mancini, Manuela Ventura and Matthew Alan Taylor. The movie weaves together three stories of female struggle and perseverance across three continents. The drama premiered at various film festivals this year and just opened in France last Wednesday. No word yet on a domestic release.
