Johnny Klimek (Cloud Atlas, Run Lola Run, Sense8, Babylon Berlin, The International, The Matrix Resurrections) and Gabriel Mounsey (Breaking In, Messiah, This Is Congo) have teamed up to score the upcoming Australian Netflix limited series Boy Swallows Universe. The show is written by John Collee (Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, Happy Feet) based on Trent Dalton’s novel of the same title and stars Travis Fimmel, Phoebe Tonkin, Simon Baker, Felix Cameron, Zac Burgess, Lee Tiger Halley, Sophie Wilde, Bryan Brown and Anthony LaPaglia. The 8-part drama is set in 1980s Brisbane and tells the story of a teenager who answers a red telephone in a room below his house and begins a journey that will break his heart before rebuilding it. Troy Lum (The Water Diviner, Lee), Andrew Mason (Dark City, Adore), Sophie Gardiner (Howards End, Little Women), Joel Edgerton (The Gift, Boy Erased) and Toby Bentley (Best Interests) are executive producing the Brouhaha Entertainment & Anonymous Content production. Boy Swallows Universe will premiere on January 11, 2024 on Netflix.
