Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary short The Last Repair Shop. The album features the film’s original score composed by Katya Richardson. Grammy & Emmy Award-nominated composer Kris Bowers (Bridgerton, Green Book, King Richard, Secret Invasion, Haunted Mansion, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Dear White People) has co-directed the short and also contributed the themes to the score. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 24 (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). The Last Repair Shop is directed by Ben Proudfoot & Bowers and grants an all access pass to the nondescript warehouse in downtown Los Angeles, where a dwindling handful of devoted craftspeople keep over 80,000 student instruments in good repair. The Breakwater Studios production, which premiered at this year’s Telluride Film Festival, was picked up by Searchlight Pictures and L.A. Times Studios and is now available to stream on LA Times’ YouTube channel (watch the full short below) and latimes.com.
