Hannes De Maeyer (Gangsta, Noise, Rebel, Torpedo, The Racer, Rafaël, Black) is scoring the upcoming Channel 4 and Starz original series The Couple Next Door. The show is written by David Allison (Bedlam) and stars Sam Heughan, Eleanor Tomlinson, Jessica De Gouw and Alfred Enoch. The 6-part psychological thriller directed by Dries Vos follows a couple who move into an upscale neighborhood, but soon find themselves in a world of curtain twitching and status anxiety. Jo McGrath & Walter Iuzzolino ((Hotel Portofino, Suspect) and Alison Kee are producing the Eagle Eye Drama production. De Maeyer has previously collaborated with the producers on ITV’s Professor T. The Couple Next Door will premiere in the UK in the coming months on Channel 4 and is set to debut in the U.S. next year on Starz.
De Maeyer is also expected to return to score the third season of Professor T.
