Antony Partos (Animal Kingdom, 99 Homes, I Am Mother, The Rover, Adore) has composed the original music for the upcoming Australian Disney+ & Hulu original series The Artful Dodger. The show is created by David Maher & David Taylor (Bloom, Amazing Grace) and James McNamara and stars Thomas Brodie-Sangster, David Thewlis, Maia Mitchell, Damon Herriman, Tim Minchin, Miranda Tapsell, Susie Porter, Damien Garvey, Kym Gyngell, Jessica De Gouw, Luke Carroll, Andrea Demetriades and Huw Higginson. The 8-part drama is set in 1850s Australia and explores the adult double life of Charles Dickens’ famous titular prince of thieves who is now a surgeon, but can’t shake his predilection for crime. Maher & Taylor are also executive producing the Beach Road Pictures & Curio Pictures production with Jo Porter (Wentworth, Picnic at Hanging Rock). The Artful Dodger will premiere overseas on November 29, 2023 on Disney+ and in the U.S. on Hulu.
Partos is also expected to return to co-score the second season of the Australian Paramount+ series Last King of the Cross.
