Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Australian psychological thriller The Royal Hotel. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jed Palmer (Upgrade, Black Snow, OtherLifeThe Infinite Man, Animals). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, October 6 and will be now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The Royal Hotel is co-written and directed by Kitty Green and stars Julia Garner, Jessica Henwick, Hugo Weaving, Toby Wallace, Ursula Yovich, James Frecheville, Daniel Henshall and Herbert Nordrum. The movie follows two American best friends backpacking in Australia who run out of cash and must take jobs in an exploitative pub to fund their trip home. The thriller premiered at this year’s Telluride and Toronto International Film Festivals and will be released in select U.S. theaters this weekend by Neon.
