Hamburger Records & Ekleroshock have released a soundtrack album for the French sci-fi adventure The Animal Kingdom (Le règne animal). The album features the film’s original music composed by Andrea Laszlo De Simone (Promises). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on most major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the composer’s title track below. The Animal Kingdom is co-written and directed by Thomas Cailley and stars Romain Duris, Paul Kircher and Adèle Exarchopoulos. The movie is set in a world where mutations in human genetics cause people to transform into hybrid creatures and follows a man and his 16-year-old as they embark on a desperate search for his missing wife who has been affected by this mysterious condition. The thriller premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and will be released in French theaters tomorrow, October 4. Magnolia Pictures’ Magnet Releasing has picked up domestic distribution rights for a release in the U.S. in 2024.
