Anna Meredith (Eighth Grade, Living with Yourself) has composed the original music for the upcoming British survival drama The End We Start From. The film is directed by Mahalia Belo (Requiem, The Long Song) and stars Jodie Comer, Joel Fry, Katherine Waterston, Benedict Cumberbatch, Mark Strong, Nina Sosanya and Gina McKee. The movie is based on Megan Hunter’s best-selling 2017 novel of the same name and follows a new mother, her partner and their infant as they are driven out of London into the English countryside by cataclysmic flooding. Alice Birch (Dead Ringers, The Wonder) wrote the screenplay. Leah Clarke (The Mauritanian, The Electrical Life of Louis Wane), Adam Ackland (The Courier, Patrick Melrose), Liza Marshall (Before I Go to Sleep, Temple), Amy Jackson (Aftersun, The Outfit) and Sophie Hunter. The End We Start From will premiere in September at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival.
